dr evelyn gracia bio

Dr. Garcia served as a uniformed member of the service at the New York City Police Department from 1984-2004. During her tenure there she had been assigned to the Patrol Services Bureau, Public Moral Division, and ultimately to the Office of the Director Of Training. At the Academy she spearheaded the accredidation process for recruit level training,which currently awards college credits to its recruits. Additionally, she was the administrative supervisor at the Department’s Leadership Development Institute. She has traveled to the United States International Law Enforcement Training Center, located in Botswana, South Africa where she taught Principles of Ethics to officers from various African nations. She has also worked with the United States Department of Justice  and The Office of Special Programs at John Jay College of Criminal Justice delivering training in Ethical Awareness to law enforcement officers from the United States  prior to their deployment to international peace-keeping missions.
